After huddling up with the opportunity areas in the 3rd week, came the 4th week where we had to decide which problem each one of us chose along with its design solution for our presentation. The problem which I chose to proceed with was the firm’s promotion and display of their products. On the field visits in the former week, I had spotted a banquet hall just minutes away from the firm. This was a pretty big banquet hall was usually over booked which meant it was doing good business.
I thought of using the popularity of SK Royal Castle Banquet as a key to increase the promotional activity of INDICOLOUR. We know that INDICOLOUR was a wedding card and boxes oriented firm, so to promote their products and sales I could design a display in the banquet which is right on the main road. One of the opportunity areas was also location. As the firm is situated pretty inside the industrial area, this promotional display would even help people know about the firm. People who would visit the banquet for an occasion or just booking they can come across the display and visit the firm for cards, packaging and other customized products.

Dear Riona,
ReplyDeleteThe title of the post is very promising. The text though interesting would have been even better had you employed a more colourful and a less factual style. That is just to make it more interesting. As of now the text and title do complement each other well.
Just a couple of language issues. E.g. I would not write "is situated pretty inside the industrial area..." I would rephrase it on the following lines- "is tucked away deep in the industrial area, hampering its visibility/publicity."
Warmly
Chris
