Week #3 Sketched, Snapped and Zoomed! [Riona S. Roy]

After researching about the Indicolour firm in depth, I chose to go ahead with the topic Object and Materials. I explored and researched about the different materials used, furniture, machinery, cutlery, papers, tools, packaging and other objects used in the process of designing and production. I even explored and sketched the surfaces and materials of the products too.

After this we started discussing the problems and opportunity areas of the firm Indicolour. We came across a lot of shortcomings from the design prospect.  There were various number of problems such as waste recycling, women sanitation, campaigning and so much more. We further discussed our problems with Prachi ma’am. We figured and listed the problems that everyone could work on. The opportunity areas which were finalized are as follows:

3 Promotional Activity

4 Campaigning

5 Shady Area

6 Waste Recycling

7 Location of the firm

8 Displays and Visual Merchandise

Ma’am liked the idea of using the waste as design solution and the various ways of promoting their products. She even liked the idea to change the shady perception via design aids. So we figured out and analysed what problems we could work on. This is what summed up the 3^rd week.
