Arushi Nayar
Design solution is the name
for this module. We have to do field work that too in groups of five. The
beginning of the module was quite bumpy with no one being able to put their
hands on one area for research. In the end our teachers took the matter in
their hands and the area allotted to us ended up being Narania Vihar .
I personally was not happy
with the place but nonetheless co-operated with my group, who by the way happen
to be really amazing and talented people (just kidding) .
With our sketchbook and
cameras we set out to discover the naraina vihar market where we had to
unanimously settle on one place to conduct our research on.
Initially we had our eyes set
on a pan shop and some other street vendors but we weren’t happy with it. One
fine board caught our attention which said , ‘Find the perfect wedding
invitation’ . That is the moment we decided that this would be the place where
we would conduct our study.
As we entered the place we
came across a pretty little showcase which had quirky wedding boxes . As we got
to talking to the owners they explained that not only print wedding cards but
also customise in different products like ; mugs, cushions, notepads , stamps
and boxes.
We learned a lot about how
things work in and around the factory.
This factory has a really good
scope for research and I’m hoping to get good results from it .
